After seeing REI’s move to close on Black Friday, a Mt. Washington bike shop is following suit.
National outdoor store REI said it would close on Black Friday, and of course the move has a hashtag. #OptOutside is designed to give employees the day off, and a chance to spend some more time outside while everyone else is fighting over toys and losing sleep over deals.
On Wednesday, Joe’s Bike Shop on Falls Rd. announced plans to join the effort. With their time off, the shop’s staff is also planning to lead a bike ride at Loch Raven.
Who else is out?
