It’s amazing to see what college students can do when they put their mind to it. No, I don’t mean lab research or term papers; I mean the amazing frame-for-frame recreation one Hopkins frat made of the Wolf of Wall Street trailer. It was the most popular story on Business Insider yesterday — probably because it’s really, really good.
The video features dollar bills instead of hundred dollar bills, cans of Natty Light instead of Quaaludes, keg stands instead of, well, midget target practice. And it’s brilliant. They even got some baby-faced frat member to stand in for Leonardo DiCaprio!
This would be funny no matter where it came from, but there’s something extra pleasing about knowing it was made right here in town — you can tell, thanks to the authentically dingy frat house locations and Charles Village alleyways.
Let’s hope these guys put as much effort into their econ homework.
