It’s now two weeks to go before the Sagamore Pendry Baltimore Hotel opens in Fells Point.
Operators of the 128-room hotel have scheduled their formal grand opening and ribbon cutting ceremony for 11 a.m. on Tuesday, March 21.

Dignitaries expected to attend include Maryland Governor Larry Hogan, Baltimore Mayor Catherine Pugh, Under Armour CEO and Sagamore Development Co. owner Kevin Plank, and Pendry Hotels’ co-founders Alan J. Fuerstman and Michael Fuerstman.

Other participants will include James Beard Award-winning chef Andrew Carmellini, who will run the restaurant at the hotel, NoHo Hospitality Group partners Luke Ostrom and Josh Pickard, and designer Patrick Sutton.

Created in and around the historic Recreation Pier at 1715 Thames Street, Sagamore Pendry Baltimore is the second property from Pendry Hotels, a new brand from Montage International. Pendry San Diego opened last month in that city’s historic Gaslamp Quarter.
