Have a baked good craving in “knead” of filling? Kneads Bakeshop is opening a pop-up in South Baltimore in May.

The popular local bakery and cafรฉ has one location in Baltimore, and another coming this fall in the Village of Cross Keys.ย

Kneads Bakeshop is part of the H&S Bakery family, and the venture is made possible through a partnership with Bozzuto and War Horse Cities, the developers of Anthem House. All three companies focus on bringing fresh, locally sourced dining options to the Locust Point community.

The pop-up hopes to offer a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere, with inside and patio seating and a cozy vibe. It will be located at 838 E. Fort Ave. and will feature bakery goods, coffee, tea, and light fare. For the morning, patrons can expect freshly baked croissants, doughnuts, muffins, and other breakfast pastries along with hot coffee and tea. The lunchtime crowd can choose from fresh salads and sandwiches on housemade breads.

โ€œHaving lived in Federal Hill for seven years, South Baltimore has a special place in my heart. When this opportunity presented itself, I knew it was the perfect space to introduce the Kneads model. We will be serving the same delicious baked goods, coffees, omelets, and sandwiches many Baltimoreans have grown to love,โ€ said Kira Paterakis, co-owner of Kneads.

The Kneads pop-up will be open Wednesday through Sunday from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m., though hours may change based upon demand. Kneads Bakeshopโ€™s flagship location is in Harbor East, and the Cross Keys location is slated to open this fall.

โ€œThis is yet another milestone for Kneads as we work to uphold our mission of supporting local Baltimore businesses and connecting with as many local communities as possible,โ€ said Adam Paterakis, co-owner of Kneads. โ€œWe are proud of this city and our Baltimore roots. Every neighborhood has its own identity, and we canโ€™t wait to be a part of the Locust Point family.โ€
