What goes better with brunch than a good murder mystery? Get ready for The Murder Brunch — A Law & Order: SIU Special Episode coming to Guilford Hall Brewery on Sunday, June 29.
Created by Michael Harris and the performers of MidAtlantic Improv, Law & Order SIU! is a fully improvised take on America’s longest running police procedural. MidAtlantic Improv is partnering with Guilford Hall Brewery to present The Murder Brunch episode — a show ripped from the suggestions of the audience, creating a never-seen-before, never-to-be seen-again, hilariously comedic murder investigation.
The ensemble uses every aspect of the Law & Order formula, from the discovery of the victim (will you be the audience volunteer?) to cynical detectives to ethically questionable attorneys to a final verdict decided by the audience.
People are welcome to come to just the show, but why not enjoy the food and signature drinks from Guilford Hall Brewery’s Sunday brunch as well? Nothing goes with murder like champagne and hollandaise sauce. Maybe if you “accidentally” spill a bit of ketchup on your shirt you’ll find yourself volunteering for the show!
Law & Order SIU! was created almost a decade ago and remains a regular part of the schedule at the Baltimore Improv Group (BIG) on North Charles Street. It was part of the 2023 Charm City Fringe Festival, 2024 Artscape, and has had multiple sold out runs at New Spire Arts in Frederick.
Murder Brunch — A Law & Order: SIU Special Episode takes place on Sunday, June 29 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $15 for general admission, and $12 for seniors and students. Guilford Hall Brewery is located at 1611 Guilford Ave., Baltimore, Maryland.
