Power Plant Live! announced yesterday they will give away 1,000 orange crushes on the Friday after Orioles first baseman Chris โ€œCrushโ€ Davis breaks his streak of hitless gamesโ€“1,500 if his first base knock is a homer.

Leeโ€™s Pint & Shell today threw down the gauntlet.

The Canton seafood restaurant will offer free Natty Bohs and orange crushes for two hours immediately after the slugger gets off the 0-for-49 schneid.

โ€œLeeโ€™s Pint & Shell is hoping that Chris Davis gets a hit and theyโ€™re willing to put their money where their mouth is!!โ€ the restaurant posted on Facebook.

As the eatery made clear in a follow-up video, participants have to be in the restaurant at the start of the game and request a wrist band. Anyone with a band gets the free hooch.

Hereโ€™s the thing, though: Davis is not in tonightโ€™s lineup.

Barring a successful pinch-hitting appearance, the offer will extend until Davis successfully hits one where they ainโ€™t. An employee who answered the phone at the restaurant said they are planning to open early for tomorrowโ€™s 12:35 p.m. game against the Oakland Athletics should Davis remain on the bench tonight.

So come on, Chris! The weather is beautiful and we could all use a nice drink in the spring.
