Limited-edition Inviting Light Baltimore Pilsner.

Guilford Hall Brewery and Central Baltimore Partnership have teamed up to release a limited-edition beer, โ€œInviting Light Baltimore Pilsner.โ€ The pilsner is inspired by Station Northโ€™s โ€œInviting Lightโ€ public art initiative.

The new beer has a can design reflecting Inviting Lightโ€™s themes of innovation and inclusivity. The beer will debut Wednesday, Nov. 12 during the unveiling of Wickerham & Lomaxโ€™s Soft Gym. The Soft Gym is an illuminated, interactive installation that has transformed the Ynot Lot into a vibrant community gathering space in Station North. Complimentary samples of Inviting Light Baltimore Pilsner will be offered to guests aged 21 and older at the unveiling and sold at Mobtown Ballroom Cafรฉ during the event.

The new pilsner will also be available for purchase at bars, venues, and events throughout the city, like Metro Art Gallery, Club Car & Foraged Eatery, and Guilford Hall Brewery. Every sale of the limited-edition beer will support future Station North Arts programming.

โ€œInviting Light reimagines how we light public spaces to add intrigue and make people feel welcome,โ€ said Jack Danna, director of revitalization for Central Baltimore Partnership. โ€œSince sharing a great beer with someone is one of the oldest ways of connection, we thought that partnering with Guilford Hall Brewery would give the community another way to take part in this monumental project.โ€

Guilford Hall Brewery hand-crafts its own lagers and ales using centuries-old European brewing traditions for inspiration. The Inviting Light Baltimore Pilsner combines Czech-style malt flavors with German and Czech hop bitterness and flavor.

โ€œWe think this special edition will add a distinctly local flavor to Inviting Light, merging public art with the art of craft brewing,โ€ Danna said.

โ€œBaltimore is a city of makers, artists, brewers, builders, and dreamers,โ€ said Vicki Schassler, president of community engagement for Guilford Hall Brewery. โ€œThis partnership reflects our cityโ€™s inclusive and creative spirit. Weโ€™re a local business based in Station North and we want to see other businesses in the city benefit from this special edition.โ€

The Soft Gym Opening takes place on Nov. 12 from 5:30โ€“8:30 p.m.  at 101 West North Ave., Baltimore, MD.

Guilford Hall Brewery is located at 1611 Guilford Ave., Baltimore, MD.
