High-end fashion company Louis Vuitton Malletier S.A.S. has filed a lawsuit in federal court alleging multiple trademark violations by Live! Casino & Hotel in Anne Arundel County, The Cordish Companies Inc., and other potential companies to be named at a later date.

Louis Vuitton is seeking damages of up to $2 million per counterfeit mark per type of good.

The lawsuit, filed on June 1, 2026, in the U.S. District Court in the District of Maryland, alleges that the defendants โ€œintentionally manufactured, advertised, promoted, offered, and distributed a โ€˜luxury bag collectionโ€™ featuring copies of Louis Vuittonโ€™s iconic Monogram Design trademark, including its three famous Flower Design trademarks.โ€

In its complaint, Louis Vuitton claims it issued the defendants a cease-and-desist letter in April 2026 related to the casinoโ€™s Art of Luxury campaign, which โ€œinvited prospective patrons and loyalty members by mail and online advertisements to visit Live! Casino over a series of weeks in April where they could receive a โ€˜luxury bag collectionโ€™ of infringing products.โ€
