One of Baltimore’s biggest, most popular parties of the year is just weeks away, Living Classroom‘s Maritime Magic. Living Classrooms is a nonprofit organization that strengthens communities and inspires young people through hands-on education and job training, using urban, natural, and maritime resources as “living classrooms.”

Maritime Magic promises to be great again this year, with tons of fabulous food and over 2,500 guests in attendance. A party known for amazing musical acts, this year will be no exception with Maceo Parker and his Funk Orchestra as the headliners. Maceo was the backbone of James Brown’s band for many years. Also playing the main stage is Eric Lindell & Co. and Cris Jacobs.

This year’s Maritime Magic is set for Friday, September 25 from 7:00-12:00 at Frederick Douglass-Isaac Myers Maritime Park in Fell’s Point. To get a feel for the party, check out this video from last year’s event. All proceeds from Maritime Magic support our programs for youth and young adults living in high-risk environments.

At this year’s event, they’re holding a food competition with categories such as best food, best cocktail, best food presentation, & best vendor set up.
