Maryland health officials on Monday reported 903 new coronavirus cases and 23 more deaths related to COVID-19.

As of Monday morning, a total of 364,553 Marylanders have tested positive for COVID-19, and 7,193 people have been confirmed to have died from the virus.

There are also 179 deaths that are suspected to be related to coronavirus but have not been confirmed.

The state has reported that a total of 2,890,239 residents have tested negative for COVID-19 since the beginning of the pandemic.

Maryland has completed 7,260,091 coronavirus tests to date, with 22,844 test results reported in the past 24 hours.

An average of 5.67% of the state’s coronavirus tests over the last seven days came back positive.

The seven-day average rate of positive tests yesterday was 5.75% for Marylanders younger than 35 and 5.62% for Marylanders older than 35.

Currently, 1,413 Marylanders are hospitalized with COVID-19, including 1,095 who are in acute care and 318 who are in intensive care.

The number of acute care patients rose by 19 while the number of intensive care patients declined by eight, marking a net increase of 11 more people hospitalized with coronavirus compared to Sunday.

Maryland has hospitalized a total of 33,187 people with COVID-19 to date.

The state has distributed the first dose of the coronavirus vaccine to a total of 545,093 Marylanders, including 6,030 who received it in the past 24 hours.

Of the Maryland recipients of the first vaccine dose, 154,640 individuals have received the second vaccine dose, including 3,622 people in the past 24 hours.

As of 10 a.m. Monday, there have been 69,779 confirmed cases in Prince George’s County; 60,633 in Montgomery County; 48,568 in Baltimore County; 38,828 in Baltimore City; 33,911 in Anne Arundel County; 16,100 in Frederick County; 14,981 in Howard County; 11,765 in Harford County; 11,729 in Washington County; 8,357 in Charles County; 7,176 in Carroll County; 6,525 in Wicomico County; 6,317 in Allegany County; 4,866 in Cecil County; 4,803 in St. Mary’s County; 3,519 in Calvert County; 3,148 in Worcester County; 2,439 in Queen Anne’s County; 2,310 in Somerset County; 2,184 in Dorchester County; 1,962 in Caroline County; 1,821 in Garrett County; 1,763 in Talbot County; and 1,069 in Kent County, according to the dashboard.

Maryland has confirmed coronavirus cases in 17,907 people age 9 or younger; 34,390 in people ages 10-19; 66,210 in people ages 20-29; 62,916 in people ages 30-39; 55,588 in people ages 40-49; 55,030 in people ages 50-59; 37,185 in people ages 60-69; 21,212 in people ages 70-79; and 14,115 in people age 80 or older.

The state has identified 191,169 of the confirmed COVID-19 patients as female and 173,384 as male.

Of the Marylanders who have tested positive for COVID-19, 103,618 are Black, 59,331 are Hispanic, 125,146 are white, 8,078 are Asian, 17,079 are another race, and data is not available for the remaining 51,301.

Nationwide, there have been at least 27,008,760 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the United States, including at least 463,483 deaths. The U.S. has conducted more than 320.3 million coronavirus tests to date as of 10 a.m. Monday, according to a real-time dashboard created by Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Systems Science and Engineering.
