Man, are we a progressive state or what? A medical marijuana bill that passed the House of Delegates will likely pass the Senate, according to Senate President Thomas V. Mike Miller, meaning that Maryland would be developing its own medical marijuana program over the next several years.
It seems that decriminalizing marijuana has become more mainstream, as more Republicans are toying with the idea of getting less war-on-drugsy. Not to mention the measure has the support of Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Secretary Joshua Sharfstein, someone I’ve never seen a picture of, but who I bet doesn’t sport multiple hemp necklaces.
And just last week, the Senate voted to decriminalize the possession of small amounts of the drug. Smoke ’em if you got less than 10 grams of ’em!
