The number of Marylanders currently hospitalized with COVID-19 remained at 805 on Wednesday, the same amount as on Tuesday.

The metric rose above the 800-patient mark on Tuesday after the state recorded fewer than 800 current coronavirus hospitalizations per day for five straight days.

Of the state’s currently hospitalized COVID-19 patients, 579 are in acute care and 226 are in intensive care.

The number of acute care patients declined by 13 while the number of intensive care patients rose by 13.

Maryland has hospitalized a total of 36,406 people with coronavirus to date.

At least 395,633 Marylanders have tested positive for COVID-19, while 3,090,980 have tested negative as of Wednesday morning, according to the Maryland Department of Health’s COVID-19 Case Map Dashboard.

Maryland’s total number of confirmed coronavirus cases rose by 917, an increase of 0.23%.

The state has completed 8,361,452 coronavirus tests to date, with 24,617 test results reported in the past 24 hours.

An average of 3.96% of Maryland’s coronavirus tests over the last seven days came back positive.

The seven-day average rate of positive tests yesterday was 4.15% for Marylanders younger than 35 and 3.84% for Marylanders older than 35.

Maryland has confirmed a total of 7,915 deaths related to COVID-19, including 19 deaths reported since Tuesday. There are also 184 deaths suspected to be related to coronavirus.

Of the two-dose vaccines, Maryland has administered a total of 1,267,326 first doses and 672,922 second doses.

In the past 24 hours, providers have administered 31,576 first doses and 14,415 second doses.

Maryland providers have also administered single-dose vaccines to a total of 52,288 people, including 746 doses that were administered in the past 24 hours.

A total of 725,210 Marylanders have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, state data showed on Wednesday.

As of 10 a.m. Wednesday, there have been 75,719 confirmed cases in Prince George’s County; 65,053 in Montgomery County; 53,073 in Baltimore County; 42,036 in Baltimore City; 37,165 in Anne Arundel County; 17,545 in Frederick County; 16,585 in Howard County; 13,119 in Harford County; 12,753 in Washington County; 9,334 in Charles County; 7,866 in Carroll County; 6,929 in Wicomico County; 6,450 in Allegany County; 5,278 in St. Mary’s County; 5,143 in Cecil County; 3,773 in Calvert County; 3,306 in Worcester County; 2,632 in Queen Anne’s County; 2,432 in Somerset County; 2,405 in Dorchester County; 2,071 in Caroline County; 1,923 in Talbot County; 1,874 in Garrett County; and 1,169 in Kent County, according to the dashboard.

Of the Marylanders who have tested positive for COVID-19, 115,096 are Black, 63,151 are Hispanic, 138,004 are white, 9,224 are Asian, 18,738 are another race, and data is not available for the remaining 51,420.

Maryland has identified 206,757 of the confirmed COVID-19 patients as female and 188,876 as male.

Of the state’s confirmed cases, 20,018 are people age 9 or younger; 38,442 are people ages 10-19; 71,996 are people ages 20-29; 67,870 are people ages 30-39; 59,756 are people ages 40-49; 59,594 are people ages 50-59; 40,286 are people ages 60-69; 22,753 are people ages 70-79; and 14,918 are people age 80 or older.

Nationwide, there have been at least 29,549,810 confirmed COVID-19 cases in the United States, including at least 536,925 deaths. The U.S. has conducted more than 375.4 million coronavirus tests to date as of 10 a.m. Wednesday, according to a real-time dashboard created by Johns Hopkins University’s Center for Systems Science and Engineering.
