A relatively new destination for Baltimore food lovers was targeted in a burglary this week. Baltimore police reported a break-in at the Mount Vernon Marketplace early Wednesday morning.
Police say the man broke into the recently-opened food hall, located in the 500 block of Park Ave., around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday. On Thursday, they released a photo of the suspect in the case taken from surveillance footage.
The Baltimore Sun reports nine of the market’s 12 vendors were affected, as money and computer equipment was taken. Mount Vernon Marketplace opened last fall and features local vendors in an open food hall format.
Anyone with information on the identity of the suspect is asked to call Metro Crime Stoppers at 1-866-7Lockup.
