Calling all trashy groupies! Live out your teenage fantasy of being in a music video, courtesy of Mr. Trash Wheel and Waterfront Partnership’s Healthy Harbor Initiative.
All googly-eyed fans of the grub-gobbling gizmo that keeps our Inner Harbor free of trash are invited to be extras in the first ever Mr. Trash Wheel music video, filming on Saturday, Sept. 6, 2025.
The Lost Pythons — the world’s first rock band dedicated to Mr. Trash Wheel — will be filming a live performance of the “Mr. Trash Wheel” song for a new video! Mr. Trash Wheel knows, as does everyone involved, that the video would not be complete without his fans to rock out with them!
To participate, fans will need to do a few things, of course: RSVP to let the production team know who will be there; memorize the “Mr. Trash Wheel” song lyrics and be ready to sing; wear a favorite Mr. Trash Wheel gear, googly eyes, or other wacky merch, which can include dressing up as any beloved member of the Trash Wheel family, and be ready to rock!
This is all happening as part of the September Baltimore By Baltimore festival, which will be the first ever eco-themed BxB day. Four more local heroes will join Mr. Trash Wheel for the festival that day: Chyno the Blue-Bearded Foodie, ultra-marathon swimmer and artist Katie Pumphrey, comedian Big Fred Watkins, and puppeteer/stiltwalker Jes Raschella of Baltimore Hoop Love. The day will be filled with art, humor, creativity, the joys of environmental stewardship, and potentially a little trash.
The festival takes place from 2 p.m. – 8 p.m. at the Inner Harbor Amphitheater, located at 201 E. Pratt Street, Baltimore, MD. Filming for the music video begins at 4 p.m., and participants are asked to arrive by 3:30 pm. Don’t forget to RSVP if you want to be in the video!
“I can’t wait to celebrate with all my human friends! If you’re anything like me, the only thing you like more than eating trash is having fun with other Baltimoreans,” Mr. Trash Wheel said. “We’re doing art, we’re doing music, we’re doing costumes, and we’re doing it all to support our beautiful Baltimore Harbor. NOM NOM NOM!”
