Anyone who loves rugby and Nandoโ€™s PERi-PERi is in for a treat all weekend, as Harbor Eastโ€™s Nando’s becomes the hub for Baltimoreโ€™s biggest rugby weekend.

From Friday, Sept. 11 through Sunday, Sept. 13, Nandoโ€™s Harbor East will transform into the ultimate Rugby Clubhouse while across the Inner Harbor, South Africa takes on New Zealand at M&T Bank Stadium in the Fourth Test.

Harbor Eastโ€™s Nando’s location looks forward to welcoming local and traveling rugby fans with a weekend experience rooted in Nandoโ€™s cultural heritage combined with the thrill of rugby fandom.

Expect rugby memorabilia and gear, vintage posters, and a locker-room themed photo experience, and DJs spinning Afro-inspired sounds all weekend long. Customer-favorite flame-grilled chicken served with spicy PERi-PERi sauce will be on the menu, of course. There will also be limited-time food-and-beer specials, as Nandoโ€™s aims to bring the food, culture, and energy of South Africa together under one roof.

The restaurant has deep South African roots and nearly 50 locations in the United States. The first Nandoโ€™s restaurant opened in 1987 in Johannesburg, South Africa. Since then, it has spread to 24 countries on five continents. It opened in the United States in 2008.

โ€œAs a brand born in South Africa, we have a special connection to rugby and the culture and fandom surrounding the game,โ€ said Kimberly Grant, Nandoโ€™s USA CEO. โ€œNandoโ€™s Harbor East is a natural home for this epic rivalry โ€“ a place where the food, music, and match-day energy all come together.โ€

For this rugby weekend, Nandoโ€™s Harbor East will have promotions like certain featured beers selling for $4, The Clubhouse Kickoff for $8.99 (6 PERi-PERi wings and PERi chips), The Captainโ€™s Pick for $8.99 (chicken breast sandwich and PERi chips), and more.

Baltimore is hosting this critical match at a time rugby is gaining popularity in the U.S. This is considered a legendary game held only every four years between the South Africa national rugby union team, the Springboks, and the New Zealand national rugby union team, the All Blacks. The match takes place on Saturday, Sept. 12 at M&T Bank Stadium, a 71,000-seat venue.
