It’s a great day for local fútbol fans. The United States, Canada and Mexico have been tapped as host countries for the 2026 World Cup, and Baltimore is on the short list of locales that could serve as host sites for the massive quadrennial soccer tournament.

Now that short list must be trimmed within the next couple years from 23 to 15 or 16 cities that get to play host to some world-class international soccer. If it’s any sign for now, Baltimore scored well compared to others, tying for third with a score of 4.2 out of 5, behind only Denver, Houston, Miami and San Francisco, per FIFA’s official Bid Evaluation Report.

Ravens slash concession prices, making some beers as cheap as $5 (!)

Joining teams like the Atlanta Falcons and our very own Baltimore Orioles, the Baltimore Ravens announced today they are cutting prices on 21 food and beverage options at M&T Bank Stadium.

The move also includes 12 oz. cans of Bud Light and Miller Lite for the very reasonable price of $5. Domestic draughts and 16 oz. domestic cans go from $8.50 to $7, and premium brews of the same size go from $9.50 to $8. Spirits go down one dollar, to $9.

It’s still cheaper to tailgate of course, but think of it this way: It’s now easier on the wallet to keep riding your pregame buzz.
