Navy has a new goat.

In the wake of the death of Bill XXXV, the Naval Academy is opting to continue the live mascot tradition. Bill 37 arrived in Annapolis this week from Texas.

Following Bill XXXVโ€™s death, the caretakers determined โ€œit would be best for Bill 36 to have a shipmate next to him on the sidelines to keep morale high.โ€ Whether there will be a decoy strategy given Armyโ€™s history of stealing the live mascot remains to be seen.

Speaking of cadets, the Black Knights  somehow worked their way into this equation. Bill 37โ€™s crate was tagged with an Army sticker. Given that this tweet came from American Airlines and the looks of the two guys below, weโ€™ll baselessly lay the blame on their wings.

You’ve goat to be kidding! Someone from the @USArmy put a sticker on the crate of @USNavy‘s new “Billy” on his transfer to Annapolis. ?? pic.twitter.com/xJgqHwhsMh

But Bill may not be ready for the rivalry this year. Navy said he is undergoing โ€œmascot training,โ€ and wonโ€™t debut until next 2017.
