Notre Dame Prep seniors Erin Crayton, Grace Glennon, Nancy Halleron, Serenity Holmes, Annie Newton, and Jiana Stamas were featured on the Today show this morning following the cancellation of the NDP senior class trip to New York City.
For 55 years, the NDP senior class has taken a winter trip to New York City. Due to COVID-19, the trip was canceled this year.
After a campus event on January 29, when traditionally seniors would have boarded a bus to the Big Apple, students enjoyed a facsimile of Central Park South in the school’s center courtyard created by faculty and staff.
Following the event, the Today Show featured a picture of a group of NDP seniors along with cardboard cutouts of the hosts in the ersatz NYC setting. Later NDP was invited by producers of Today to record the message to the hosts that aired on this morning, Tuesday, February 9.
This is the first time since 1966 that NDP’s senior class trip to New York City has been canceled.
