November means a lot to the Mt. Washington Tavern. Not only is the month a time to relish in our great nation’s democracy with Election Day, but also it is a time to show our thanks for family and friends with a special Thanksgiving meal. Additionally, this month the Tavern will officially celebrate its 35th birthday.
This month, in honor of our 35th, we have collaborated with local brewery Heavy Seas to launch our very own beer, Old Hilltop Lager Ale. The name is in honor of our relationship with Pimlico Race Course. Beginning this November, Old Hilltop will be available at all of our bars. And during our actual anniversary week, November 17 – 20, pint drafts of Old Hilltop will be only $3.50, in honor of our birthday.
Additionally, the Tavern will celebrate Election Day (November 4) by offering anyone who visits the Tavern wearing an ‘I Voted’ sticker a free draft beer or glass of wine.
And lastly for November, the Tavern will be open for business on Thanksgiving Day offering a special menu featuring all the traditional favorites, plus the regular menu. Hours are 12pm – 2am. Staying open until 2am offers those who need a breather after that family get together an ideal place for an aperitif.
