You know how George Washington was reported to have thrown a silver dollar across the Potomac River? This is kind of like that. Except with a lacrosse ball instead of a silver dollar. And it really happened.
Last week (judging from the snow and ice on the ground) professional lacrosse player Paul Rabil managed to fling a lacrosse ball all the way across the Inner Harbor. And then fellow lacrosse player Drew Westervelt manages to fling it back. That’s some impressive power, gentlemen! (The best part of the video is the end, where they almost get in trouble. Which is exactly how any real prank/athletic challenge should conclude.)
