Cinco de Mayo celebrations on Canton Square came to low blows as morning approached. According to WBAL-TV, the fight ended when one man — an off-duty Anne Arundel County police officer — bit the other man in the testicles.
The fight happened in an alley behind Looney’s Pub. The station reports that the police officer, Paul Flaig, jumped the victim with another man because he apparently touched the woman’s roommate.
Now, the officer faces an assault charge. After a woman called to alert Baltimore police of the incident, police found Flaig in Claddagh Pub with bloodstains on his shirt, and arrested him.
