Howard County Police officers are enforcing the expanded ‘Move Over’ law.

Drivers must now move over for any stopped, standing, or parked vehicles presenting warning signals. The law is to protect drivers managing roadside emergencies.

  1. I’m glad police getting around to remind everyone to move over.
So many accidents of people hitting cars on the shoulder. As retired safety director of transportation, we used to jokingly say parked vehicles act as magnets that attract moving vehicles. Of course that is physically impossible, but makes you wonder,
“How do people run off the road, precisely at a stopped vehicle?”
