If you have Summer Olympics fever, you can meet and work out with an Olympic boxer on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. at Harbor Point Central Plaza.
Franchón Crews-Dezurn, “The Heavy Hitting Diva,” will join as a special guest and host a special Olympic-themed class, “Olympics 2024 Pop-up: Boxing.” There will be a meet and greet after Tuesday’s class with Crews-Dezurn, an alum of Olympic Team USA and a world champion boxer.
Crews-Dezurn was a member of Team USA’s Olympics Boxing Team and is the longest reigning female super middleweight world champion in world history. She is also a singer and fashion designer. In 2023 her debut single “Secret Place” reached Top 10 on the dance charts in the United Kingdom.
The Waterfront Wellness Series offers free outdoor fitness classes hosted at various scenic locations throughout Baltimore’s waterfront. The series is presented by the Waterfront Partnership of Baltimore and Medifast and runs from May through the end of October. Baltimore-based fitness professionals lead workout classes six days per week at Harbor Point Plaza, West Shore Park, and the Broadway Pier in Fells Point. Classes include “Strong on the Lawn,” Pilates, “Yoga for All,” “Dance2Fitness,” and more.
