Our governor has been on the road so much recently, I’ve begun to think of him as one those traveling garden gnomes — every few days you get a picture of him in a different locale and you wonder when you are going to get him back for good.
But Martin O’Malley’s next scheduled away game — leading a trade delegation to Israel — has been postponed due to the escalation of violence in Gaza.
He was going to meet with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, talk about renewable energy, and pal around with entrepreneurs, but instead O’Malley has grounded himself, lest he distract “from the urgent cause of peace.”
