Local mom Toya Graham had a fit when she saw her son participating in Monday’s melee. After recognizing him in the crowd, she approached him with a slap on the side of his head and strong words. Her hands-on discipline, which was first reported on WMAR, made the national news last night, and she was on CBS This Morning today.
“That’s my only son,” she told CBS News. “At the end of the day, I don’t want him to be a Freddie Gray.”
“I’m a no tolerance mother. Everybody who knows me, knows I don’t play,” she said.
The single mother of six told CBS that “to see my son at the riots with a rock in his hand, I just lost it.”
