catch of the day fish (2)

An invitation to an old hotel may seem like the beginning of a ghost story. In this case, however, it’s the start of Halloween weekend planning.

The Owl Bar, a much-loved spot for drinks located at the Belvedere in Mt. Vernon, is outdoing itself for Halloween weekend. In fact, they’re calling it Hall-Owl-Ween Weekend. The festivities begin with a pumpkin carving contest on Thursday, Oct. 27. Once the Jack-O-Lantern is in place, it’s time to party.

On Friday, Owl Bar hosts a Zombie Prom, where all varieties of undead are welcome. They say it’ll be a night to dismember. On Saturday, the costuming goes retro, but you can wear the same thing if you say you’re a character from a certain Michael Jackson video. The bar is hosting an 80s character costume party is the big event to go all out.

Sounds like a hoot (Sorry).
