Fun! That’s me in a word. I’m a friendly, happy girl who’s always looking for a good time being the center of attention! I was brought to BHS with my housemate because our previous guardian lost his home and we had nowhere to go. In fact, we were kept outside all the time – it was awful and something I  never want to do again. Even though I came here with another dog, I would now like to be the only animal in my new home – no cats, dogs, rabbits or small animals. This way there’s more love for me. I’m passionate about playing ball and also love Nyla bones. I’m craving a safe and loving forever home where we can go out for long walks and play. If you have kids please bring them with you to meet me so they can fall in love with me as easily as you will. I did have surgery on one of my legs and am well now, but to prevent further problems I take a supplement to keep my knees in good working order. Sometimes my eyes get a little weepy, but it’s not really a big deal – I just get some eye drops. I also am not able to go to a home with any type of electronic fencing surrounding it – some dogs are okay with this, but I am just not one of those dogs. Please stop by to meet me soon. I can’t wait to begin our new life together and start playing a game of catch!

Hi! My name is Layla. I am a sweet girl who was returned to BHS after my previous guardian developed some health issues. I’m what you might call an independent woman – I love to be petted and rubbed but I’m also content doing my own thing, like watching the birds out the windows. I am a bit overweight, so I am currently on a special diet to help me lose some. Since I’m a senior cat, I’m really hoping that this time around I’ll find my true forever home, and I don’t have to wait too much longer to find it! I’m now a long- term resident here and have been waiting far too long. If you’re looking for a mellow and loyal companion, look no further.
