Got pie? How about pi? Why not both? The Farmers Market Supper Club is having a Pi Day Party on Saturday, March 14 (3.14), and Baltimoreans are invited. Just bring pie.
The Farmers Market Supper Club is a grassroots group bridging the gap between the cityโs bustling market scene and its devoted shoppers and residents. The club is hosting this community-wide celebration of pi (3.14) and the only โentry feeโ is a pie.
Not that anyone ever needs an excuse to eat pie, but this event embraces the spirit of the mathematical holiday with a low-pressure potluck. Guests are asked to bring one pie to share, either sweet or savory. Choices can range from classic fruit and chess pies to quiches, pizzas, and pot pies.

โThis gathering is about more than just great food; itโs about the people behind the plates,โ said Charlie Urrutia, organizer for the Farmers Market Supper Club. โIn a city as vibrant as Baltimore, we wanted to create a space where neighbors can swap slices and stories without the pressure of a competition. If itโs round-ish and delicious, it belongs on our table.โ
The supper club has a dual mission of bringing together local home cooks and supporting regional agriculture, so it encourages participants to incorporate at least one ingredient from a local Baltimore farmers market. The vibe is low-pressure and casual, though, with a mind towards community-building through local friendships and strong support of Marylandโs farmers.
Apologies to those traumatized by math, but โpiโ is the mathematical symbol and Greek letter (ฯ) that represents the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. This number is a constant (the same for any circle of any size), and its digits infinite, but usually shortened to 3.14. ย March 14 is celebrated as โPi Dayโ around the world. If, for some reason, anyone reading this has an immediate need to know the first million digits of pi, the Pi Day website offers this convenient information.
The Farmers Market Supper Club Pi Day Party and potluck will be held at The Wine Collective on Saturday, March 14, 2026, from 2โ4 p.m. Please RSVP to ensure a diverse spread of pies, and to make sure there is enough room for all.
The Wine Collective is located at 1700 W. 41st St., Suite 490, Baltimore, MD.
