Baltimore has a wealth of talented musicians. From the rowhousehold names of Dan Deacon and Beach House, to whoever may be playing at Joe Squared on any given night, it is obvious that we are rich in musical artistry. I am quite the proponent of all things WTMD, but especially of their weekly segment, Baltimore Unsigned, which highlights only local talent every Tuesday starting at 9:00p. It was through Sam Sessa and Baltimore Unsigned that I learned of Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, a Baltimore funk/electronic/jam band.
The Pigeons play regularly at the 8×10 in Federal Hill, which is precisely where they’ll be tomorrow night. The only thing better than an hour of highlighted Baltimore music on WTMD, is an entire live show of Baltimore music, in Baltimore, while sipping a ‘Boh.
