Dominoโs Pizza drivers carry less than $20, but that didnโt stop a group of four masked men from targeting one Glen Burnie driver with a machete overnight.
According to Anne Arundel County police, the 20-year-old driver was robbed while making a delivery just after midnight in the 100 block of Olen Drive. He tried to deliver the pizza, but got no answer at the door. He called the number and returned to the door, but once again got no answer.
When he turned to walk back to his car, the four masked men jumped out from the side of a neighboring house. One of them had a machete, and held it to the driverโs throat before robbing him. The driver wasnโt injured, but had his keys, cell phone, money and, of course, the pizzas in his hand.
Next time you order a pizza, remember to thank the delivery driver and tip well. As this and many other robberies indicate, it can be a dangerous job.
