Leadership at NDP: Every Day, Every Way

At Notre Dame Preparatory School, leadership is not confined to a specific title, a specialized track, or a formal program. Instead, it is an intuitive, everyday practice woven seamlessly into the fabric of the community. Whether steering a challenging classroom discussion, organizing a local service project, or guiding teammates on the athletic field, NDP students are introduced to leadership opportunities on a daily basis. Leadership at NDP is accessible to all, not limited to a select group.

This organic approach to cultivating leaders is deeply rooted in the school’s core values. NDP believes that single-gender education develops confident women who are independent thinkers. Students do not learn about leadership just from a textbook; they are empowered to live it, because the school believes that direct experience of leadership develops courage and fortitude. Experiences beyond the classroom are a critical part of a student’s self-discovery. By encouraging students to take charge of their own unique journeys, they naturally develop the skills and empathy needed to transform the world.

Among the leadership opportunities at NDP: 70+ student-led clubs plus four leadership organizations in the high school; two dozen clubs and interest groups in the Middle Level; Campus Ministry; dozens of service activities; theatre, dance, and music performances; 14 Upper Level sports and eight Middle Level sports; Women In…(WIN) Experiential Learning Internship Program; and 14 academic honor societies.
