Pusser’s Landing is finally open in Canton.
The restaurant and bar at the site of the former Bo Brooks and Drift Bar spots had its grand opening on Monday.
“The ribbon’s been cut, the bars are stocked and the first Painkillers are pouring,” owners James Lepley and Christopher Townsend posted on Instagram. “Cheers to a brand-new chapter on the Canton waterfront! We can’t wait to see you at Pusser’s Landing!”
The opening comes less than a month after Baltimore’s liquor board approved a ‘Class B’ Beer, Wine and Liquor license for the business, which is part of the Lighthouse Point Marina at 2711 Boston St.
With 15,000 square feet of space and seating for more than 350 patrons, Pusser’s Landing is one of the largest restaurants to open in Baltimore this year. Its 104-seat floating “dock bar” is the second waterfront bar to open in Baltimore this month, after Bellini’s Harborview opened on July 4 next to Di Pasquale’s restaurant at 500 Harborview Drive in south Baltimore.
Pusser’s Landing is a successor to Pusser’s Caribbean Grille at 80 Compromise St. in Annapolis, which closed last fall after 30 years in that city. Known for its Caribbean food and rum-based cocktails, including its signature Pusser’s Painkiller, Pusser’s Caribbean Grille closed after the Annapolis Waterfront Hotel declined to renew its lease and brought in The Atlas Restaurant Group to take over its space. The Canton location is expected to result in the creation of about 100 jobs.
According to Pusser’s Landing’s announcements on social media, dining is currently by reservation only and seating is limited. The number to call for reservations is 443-869-2067.
For now, the indoor and outdoor bars are serving drinks only, including cocktails, beer and wine. Food service at the bars will come later.
Hours of operation during the first week are: Monday to Thursday, from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m.; Friday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m.; Saturday from noon to 11 p.m., and Sunday from noon to 10 p.m.
