Even though the Ravens won on Sunday, one of the teamโs best players once again succumbed to their Achilles heel.
After hitting a game-winning field goal to defeat the Chargers 29-26, Kicker Justin Tucker let out the bit of emotion that all of Ravens Nation had bottled up. Drakeโs โHotline Blingโ video was the inspiration:
With national networks reporting that the dance โappeared to beโ Hotline Bling, Tucker dutifully confirmed the provenance of the moves during the post-game press conference. He was asked whether it was the first time he busted that particular move.
Tuckerโs response: โDid it look the first time I tried that? Next question please.โ
Hereโs the original, for reference:

Nevertheless, the Ravens canโt seem to shake off bad omens this year. Wide Receiver Steve Smith Sr. went down with an Achilles injury, and will be out for the season. The 36-year-old Smith Sr. has said he would retire at the end of the season, so Sunday might have been his last appearance in the NFL.
The injury leaves the team even more depleted. Ravens veteran defender Terrell Suggs went down with an Achilles injury in the first game of the season.
