The NFL Draft took a backseat as the Baltimore Ravens joined the growing community effort to lift up Baltimore on Thursday. Ray Lewis, Coach John Harbaugh and current Ravens players visited Matthew A. Hensen Elementary School and Frederick Douglass High School, which are located very close to where the first major confrontation with police happened Monday at Mondawmin Mall.

In all, two busloads of Ravens were at the schools. They donated boxes of food, and spoke to student at an assembly at Frederick Douglass.

“We have an opportunity to change Baltimore,” Lewis said. “If you want to make real change, be the example of change.”
