Blake, Jon, David, and Reed Cordish.

Like father, like son.

Reed Cordish, a principal of the Baltimore-based Cordish Companies, will join the Trump administration as an assistant to the president for intragovernmental and technology initiatives, according to Trump’s transition team.

In his new role, Cordish will focus on technology innovation and modernization, and initiatives that require cross-agency coordination, according to a release Tuesday from the Trump team.

Reed Cordish’s father, David Cordish, worked in the 1970s for another President, Democrat Jimmy Carter.

Reed Cordish and his wife, Margaret Katz, are friends of Ivanka Trump, the President-elect’s daughter, and her husband Jared Kushner, who has been named senior advisor to the President.

Like Trump, Reed Cordish has worked in a family business that specializes in real estate development and gaming.

Trump will be sworn in on Friday.
