Blake, Jon, David, and Reed Cordish.

Like father, like son.

Reed Cordish, a principal of the Baltimore-based Cordish Companies, will join the Trump administration as an assistant to the president for intragovernmental and technology initiatives, according to Trumpโ€™s transition team.

In his new role, Cordish will focus on technology innovation and modernization, and initiatives that require cross-agency coordination, according to a release Tuesday from the Trump team.

Reed Cordishโ€™s father, David Cordish, worked in the 1970s for another President, Democrat Jimmy Carter.

Reed Cordish and his wife, Margaret Katz, are friends of Ivanka Trump, the President-electโ€™s daughter, and her husband Jared Kushner, who has been named senior advisor to the President.

Like Trump, Reed Cordish has worked in a family business that specializes in real estate development and gaming.

Trump will be sworn in on Friday.
