Scittino’s has opened its second location on Falls Road, near Lake Roland, and business is off to a good start according to Brad Black, one of the general managers at the Italian deli, pizza shop, and restaurant. They opened their doors on Dec. 9, 2024.

The original location in Catonsville opened in 1973 on Edmonson Avenue, and after half a century, the restaurant changed hands. Ownership stayed in the family, with siblings Sal and Josie Schittino selling the shop to nephew Franco Schittino.

Franco Schittino embraced the business with an eye towards expansion, and injected creativity and capital to make it happen. The Falls Road location has the Italian specialty market and the wine shop, like the Catonsville location does. It also has the sub menu and, of course, the pizza.

What is new is a full bar with a bartender every day for lunch and dinner, and plans for a full dinner menu, which has yet to be fully rolled out. Black says it will be over the next couple of weeks.

“The full menu, we’re not there yet. So we’re gonna start rolling some things out, hopefully as soon as this week, maybe next week. Just kind of building on specifically the dinner portion of the menu,” Black said. “Right now, we’re doing a lot of sandwiches. That’s kind of what we started with. And then after about two weeks, we started rolling out pizza. So that’s pretty much where we are right now.”

Scittino’s second location is at 6241 Falls Road, Baltimore, MD.
