Marking one year since the death of the musician Prince, the Senator Theatre will present “Purple Rain” in its main auditorium tonight at 8 p.m.

The movie will be preceded by a live performance by The Radio Dials, who will perform their “Purple Experience” set starting at 6:45 p.m.

Prince Rogers Nelson was found unresponsive in the elevator of his Minneapolis residence and studio, Paisley Park, last April 21. An autopsy later determined that he died of an opioid overdose.

The Senator Theatre’s showing of Purple Rain is one of many gatherings being held throughout the country to honor Prince.

Tickets are going for $10 apiece. The theater is located at 5904 York Road.
