Has anyone else been noticing how Saturday Night Live has totally been killing it these days? That Serial parody was hilarious; now the show has decided to tackle The Wire and New York hipsters in the same skit–and the results are as funny as you’d hope they’d be.
The skit pokes fun at Brooklyn–specifically Bushwick, a formerly rough neighborhood that is now the favorite target of New York gentrifiers. The SNL crew hits plenty of predictable hipster signifiers (brunch, fancy cheese, spin class, food blogs) but managed to crack me up none the less. Watch and enjoy! (Via uproxx.)
