Jim Kraft’s decision to give up the 1st District City Council seat immediately pulled two candidates into the race. In recent weeks, two more have emerged.
Ed Marcinko officially got into the face in early June. He’s a Fells Point native who worked as a public information officer for the DEA, and a past president of the Upper Fells Point neighborhood association.
Next week, Mark Edelson is planning to formally launch his campaign at an event at the Crescent in Fells Point. A lawyer, Edelson lives in Canton and serves on various community boards. He recently had his views on transportation published in the Baltimore Sun.
Zeke Cohen and Mark Parker previously announced their plans to run in 2016.
