Start your day with some fresh produce and tasty treats at BMI’s weekly farmers market, learn more about bats with UMBC graduate, Chris Blume, by building a bat box, and support the industrial super heroes of tomorrow at the 6th annual Baltimore Children’s Business Fair. Build a Bat Box | 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Join the BMI and UMBC graduate student, Chris Blume, for a FREE program about the connection between urban ecology and industry in Baltimore—using bats! Learn about the types of bats found in Baltimore, and how they contribute to industry. Then build a bat box to provide roosting spots to help maintain bat populations. Bat box kits are provided for FREE.

While you’re busy building bat boxes, the Dark Knight himself will be at the BMI keeping an eye out for any funny business at the Farmers’ Market and taking pictures with the fine citizens of Baltimore. Meetings and pictures are FREE.

Batman won’t be the only superhero at the BMI! Come support the industrial super heroes of tomorrow at the 6th annual Baltimore Children’s Business Fair. Hosted outside on the museum terrace, meet young entrepreneurs and listen to them pitch their products and ideas, and encourage the CEOs of the future. Be sure to bring cash to buy their amazing products! This fair is FREE to attend.
