Mayor Stephanie Rawlings Blake took a tour of downtown Baltimore’s public art today. In the process, she re-dedicated murals that recently went in for some primming.
SRB started across from M&T Bank Stadium, at the 5200 sq. ft. mural depicting gray whales. The mural was first completed in 1993 by the artist Wyland.
According to CBS Baltimore, the mural got a major touch-up over the summer because it faded over time, and new LED lights so it’s visible at night.

The mayor also visited Warner St. to dedicate two of the city’s newest murals on Warner St. Here’s a photo of the mayor outside one, called A Walk to Clarity.
