Living on the same rhetorical block as The Moth, Stoop Storytelling is for folks who love to hear stories live and out loud, and prefer the content created by the people who are in the audience. This fall marks the beginning of the 10th season. This year’s Mainstage shows are at the Senator Theatre, with the first coming on Oct. 7. The theme is Beginning and Endings, with stories about birth and death, creation and destruction and other such yin-yang kind of stuff. Send a three sentence e-mail to [email protected] if you want to tell a story.
On Thursday, Sept. 24, the series will be at the Windup Space as part of a smaller Second Stoop event. When you show up, anyone who wants to tell a story can put their name in a hat. The theme is coming-out stories, or what happens when you reveal your true self.
