The final word on the Harbor Point development plan may not have been written.
Now, transportation officials – bowing to longstanding demands – have commissioned a traffic impact study to assess the impact from development of Fells Point, Harbor Point and Harbor East, the Business Journal reported.
“I have been in continuing discussions with the (mayor’s) administration about the about the myriad of traffic problems brought about by all of this growth and development,” City Councilman James B. Kraft reportedly said in announcing the traffic impact study.
The study would take a “holistic look at development impacts to traffic in southeast Baltimore, including the build-out of Harbor East, Harbor Point and the Central Avenue corridor,” Kraft said in a statement
