There is very little sound in the surveillance footage that WMAR posted to YouTube, but the words you see an apparently disturbed man scream as he bangs on the doors of the Towson news station, so we’ve been told, are “Let me in” and “I am God.” And when that man goes out of view and returns driving a truck, you’ll swear you can hear a boom as he smashes his way into the building, absolutely destroying the vestibule and much of the wall and beginning a stand-off with police that ended with his arrest and no injuries.
The suspect, 28-year-old Vladimir Mehul Baptiste of Parkville has been charged with three counts of attempted second-degree murder as well as first-degree assault, burglary, and malicious destruction of property.
