Handsome Men and Their Dogs

Dear Sara,

I met a handsome man walking his handsome dog, and I only talked to the dog. This has happened before, too. What’s WRONG with me?

Doggone Girl

First of all, I want you to memorize the following line:

“Goodness! I don’t know who is more handsome!” which should be delivered with your best smile, while looking back and forth between handsome man and adorable dog. Follow with petting the dog; move on to other questions.

Cutie Kelly Looking for a Home

Looking for a more sophisticated pet to keep you company? Kelly, a fawn-colored boxer, could be a perfect match.

Kelly is approximately eight years old — she has both a relaxed and energetic nature. The Maryland SPCA describes Kelly as “comfortable going on long walks or just lying around the house.”

Her nickname is “Swinging Tap Dancer.” Kelly could have earned that title with those white-furred boots on each paw or from performing that boxer shimmy when she’s happy. Either way, she’s ready to dance her way into someone’s home.

All of her vaccinations are current. She is also spayed and her worming is up to date. Be sure to contact the MD SPCA for the most recent information on pet adoption.

Cesar Millan Makes a Freebie Appearance Tomorrow!

Dog Whisperer” fans, your tails must be wagging. You’ve got two ways to see intuitive doggy behaviorist Cesar Millan in action this weekend: His show at the Lyric happens Saturday night, but earlier in the day, he’ll be stationed at Pet Valu in South Baltimore at 871 East Fort Avenue from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to greet human and canine customers alike and sign autographs. Meanwhile, in conjunction with Millan’s visit, the store will feature animals (cats and dogs) for adoption via BARCS and calendars for sale to benefit the city shelter. Store will also be giving away gift cards, Cesar Millan products, and tix to his show. So, you just might be able to hang with the handsome man, who can rollerblade and walk a pack of pups at once, turn mean dogs into pussycats, and charm people as fast as furry, fanged mutts, twice in one weekend! But try to contain yourself at said events, especially if you’re with a canine friend, because, of course, as Cesar has taught us, dogs pick up on our higher emotions and often respond with anxiety and aggression. Thanks, Cesar, welcome to Baltimore! On the inside, we’re whimpering with glee.
