Fractured Prune Doughnuts Opens TODAY at Metro Centre, Owings Mills
With origins in Ocean City, Maryland, franchise owner looking to “replicate childhood and summertime memories” for consumers in Baltimore metropolitan area
Fractured Prune Doughnuts, the iconic Ocean City-based bakery shop recognized for its made-to-order doughnut specialties featuring glazed toppings, plans to open its newest store location within Metro Centre at Owings Mills, a Transit-Oriented Development (TOD) encircling the Owings Mills Metro Station in northwest Baltimore County, tomorrow. Franchise owners Meghann and Shawn Salafia, which own the franchise expansion rights for Carroll County, Howard County, Southern Pennsylvania and parts of Baltimore County, intend to open one or two locations per year in a measured roll-out.
Metro Crossing Apartments Open House Weekend, Beginning Thursday, Nov. 20
Metro Crossing Apartments, the residential component of Metro Centre at Owings Mills, has scheduled an Open House Weekend Event beginning Thursday, November 20 and continuing through Sunday, November 23. Prize and gift giveaways will be awarded, with no purchase necessary, including a 40” flat screen television set and an Amazon Kindle. Light refreshments will be served on Thursday from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm.

The residential floor plans range in size from 700 to 1,245 square feet of space and feature one and two bedroom designs, an open, spacious kitchen with granite islands, stainless-steel appliances, designer lighting and fixture packages and nine-foot ceilings. The first phase of the residential section contains 232 apartment homes, with 1,700 units planned at final completion.
Metro Crossing community amenities include a two-story clubroom with lounge seating, multi-media center, fitness facility, yoga room, billiards and catering kitchen; a covered parking garage; roof-top pool with barbeques, a fireplace and lounge seating; bicycle racks; elevators and controlled access to the residential units. All amenities are complete.
Metro Centre at Owings Mills is designed to support more than 1.2 million square feet of Class “A” office space; 200,000 square feet of complementary retail space; 1700 residential units; educational facilities totaling 120,000 square feet and a hotel component. Approximately 56,000 square feet of retail space is contained on the ground floor of the residential buildings.
