The following is an update from Helen Norman at Star Bright Farm, on how the business is adapting and coping. In the traditional sense, the farm is not open as a bricks and mortar business BUT it is very much open online! Helen and team also welcome and encourage visitors to take a walk around the farm and enjoy the fresh air. Star Bright Farm is located at 2950 Garrett Road in White Hall, MD 21161.
How have you altered your business to adapt to the quarantine?
We are offering more online sales with “on-farm pick up” and shipping.
Are you doing something for the community or your employees that you want to share with our readers?
We are allowing people to come take walks on the farm. We have 130 acres that people can take advantage of to enjoy the country air, while also practicing social distancing.
Relax and truly get into the spirit of the season at Star Bright Farm’s Holiday Barn Market. Scheduled during the weekends in December from 10am – 4pm, embrace country life and an opportunity to get more out of shopping than just buying gifts at Star Bright Farm. With many new products added for the holiday season, along with all of last year’s favorites, there are endless gift options for the home and body. Local coffee and snacks are available to keep spirits high throughout the day. On Saturday, December 7, enjoy extended hours (10am – 7pm) with champagne shopping and sampling of culinary treats. Head down to Star Bright Farm for some warm and welcoming holiday cheer.
Treat the “Mom” in your life to a country brunch on the farm and some shopping at the Barn Market (Saturday and Sunday 10am-4pm). Imagine – an afternoon in the country. A walk in the garden. A seated lunch in the stone barn by renowned chef Kevin Miller of Copper Kitchen. On Mother’s Day, celebrate the woman who means so much to you, and has done so much for your family. Between 10:00 and 1:30 Star Bright Farm will open the grounds of the farm and serve an elegant six-course brunch. Brunch will be served family style, so everyone gets to enjoy the full selection of pastries, tea sandwiches, deviled eggs, warm bites, and dessert. Opened on both Saturday and Sunday from 10am-4pm, stop downstairs at the Barn Market to pick up Mom a gift or two after brunch. Make your reservations today to dine at the time of your choice, and stroll the grounds afterwards. Nothing says “I Love You” like a delicious brunch and some beautiful, locally-made and handcrafted gifts.
