With the Baltimore Marathon this weekend, take a break from the hectic city life and head down to the farm. On Saturday, October 9th, Star Bright Farm will raise a glass of Diamondback Brewing’s newly-released seasonal blueberry beer and say farewell to summer with a Sunset Concert featuring local Baltimore favorite Caleb Stine and band. After purchasing several hundred pounds of blueberries from Star Bright Farm, Diamondback Brewing will be releasing their new seasonal beer, in collaboration with the farm. Come hungry as Baltimore chefs, Denny Dingus and Jeffrey Schultz, will be welcomed back on the grill cooking up some favorites using Star Bright Farm and One Straw Farm produce. Gates open at 2:30pm, with music from 3pm – 6pm.
Caleb Stine is an American Artist known for his performance, songwriting, and visual art. The BALTIMORE SUN has called Caleb the “lynchpin of the Baltimore folk scene.” Flying just below mainstream radar, Stine has released over ten albums, scored music for films, acted Off-Broadway, and opened shows for Jason Isbell, Bombino, and Sam Bush. His songwriting is full of vibrant characters and the details of a lived-in America; his sound has been compared to Townes Van Zandt and Willie Nelson’. Listen to his music here.
With Chefs Denny Dingus and Jeff Schultz manning the grill again, the menu is not to be missed: Pit beef, pit turkey, kale salad, and BBQ baked beans. Kids can enjoy Sloppy Joes (menu subject to shift). Beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks will be available on-site for purchase from Diamondback Brewing and Boordy Vineyards, including a special blueberry collaboration beer between Diamondback and Star Bright Farm.
In the chance of rain, the concert will be moved into the large open barn, so this event is rain or shine.
