Villanova and Michigan may be taking the floor for the men’s national NCAA championship tonight, but it’s the University of Maryland, Baltimore County Retrievers that are letting us all score some free pizza this afternoon.

The ubiquitous Little Caesar’s, (in)famous for its cheap, “hot-n-ready” carry-out pies, is offering a free four-slice pepperoni pizza with a soda this afternoon in celebration of UMBC’s March 16 win over the University of Virginia.

The improbable victory was the first time that a 16-seeded men’s team has ever toppled a 1-seed in the 79-year history of the tournament. Knowing those odds, Little Caesar’s offered the deal in case “crazy happens.” The Retrievers blew out the Cavaliers, so Little Caesar’s is holding up its end of the deal.

There are some rules: Customers must place an order at the counter and mention the offer between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m.; all orders must be placed by 1 p.m.; one pizza/soda combo per family; orders cannot be placed online, for delivery or via the drive-thru; and the deal lasts at each location until the pizzas are gone.

Per Google Maps, you stand a fighting chance of getting a pepperoni deep dish and a soda today to pregame tonight’s championship, as Baltimore City and the surrounding suburbs are home to roughly 20 Little Caesar’s locations.
