Baseball players are used to bobbleheads bearing their likeness, but now that HBO actors are getting into them it’s time to move onto something new. Orioles skipper and lifelong white guy Buck Showalter is carving out a new trend with the garden gnome.
During last night’s O’s-Astro’s game, the birds revealed the Buck Showalter Garden Gnome. The figurine commemorates Showalter’s award as 2014 Manager of the Year.

We already knew it was coming thanks to Deadspin’s excellent markup of the season giveaways calendar at Camden Yards. But the reveal was no less thrilling, especially since they gave us a rear view.
For those keeping score at home, June 27 is the day that the first 25,000 fans receive the gnome manager.
